Entrance Examination Process
Guidance for Parents

• Return completed Registration Form, with registration fee of £25.00, to the Registrar.
  

  Online Registration Form - Entry to Y7 2008

• You will receive confirmation that your child has been entered for the entrance examination which will take place on Monday, 21 January 2008
  
• A reference will be requested from your child’s current school
  
• The Headmaster will write to you in November with details of the entrance examination day and a date and time when your child will be invited into school for an interview with a senior member of staff
  
• Please advise the Registrar if your child is dyslexic, or currently receiving other learning support, so that extra time can be arranged (please forward a copy of your child’s most recent assessment to the Registrar)
  
• Please advise the Registrar if you wish your child to be considered for an academic, art, drama or music scholarship (Sports scholarships are considered at Year 10 and Lower Sixth entry only)
  
• Entrance Examination day is from 08.45am to 3.45pm and consists of Maths and English papers plus a Non Verbal Reasoning paper in the morning (past Maths and English papers are available on request), followed by activities in the afternoon
  
• Papers are marked as quickly as possible and an offer of a place, based on your child’s academic abilities, interview and reference from their previous school, should be received within two weeks
  
• Signed Terms & Conditions, together with the appropriate deposit, should be received by 25 February 2008
